Coker University student dies from injuries after Hartsville nightclub shooting

Garrett Bakhsh is the third person to die in the Sunday morning shooting.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Coker University student has died from wounds sustained in the weekend shooting at a Hartsville nightclub. 

Garrett Bakhsh, 18, of Baltimore, Maryland, died around 8 p.m. Tuesday night from his injuries, according to Darlington coroner J. Todd Hardee. 

Dicaprio Collins, 21, and Bryan Robinson, 29 were killed in the shooting. Four others were taken to local hospitals for their injuries.  

The shooting took place early Sunday at Mac's Lounge in Hartsville, which also serves as a music venue. City of Hartsville Public Information Officer Lauren Baker says police were dispatched to the scene at 1:59 a.m. 

Two suspects have been arrested. 

Darius Dickey has been charged with four counts of attempted murder, pointing and presenting a firearm, violation of a city ordinance, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, discharging a firearm at or into a structure and carrying a firearm onto a premise of a business selling alcohol or liquors.  

The second suspect is in custody but law enforcement officials say they will not release the name until additional warrants are served. 

Bond was denied for Dickey and he currently is behind bars at the Darlington County Jail.

The condition of the other injured victims is not known. 

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the U.S. Marshals Office are also investigating.
