CAMDEN, S.C. — The Carolina Panthers spent Friday giving back to communities across the Carolinas as part of the fifth annual Keep Pounding Day.
This annual event sends current players and coaches, Panther legends, and staff members throughout the two states as part of an effort to give back to the community.
Various projects were focused on housing, food security, juvenile justice, military outreach, and seniors' outreach.
At the Jackson Teen Center in Camden, Panther wide receivers D.J. Chark, Jr and CJ Saunders were joined by linebacker Chandler Wooten for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
The kids were able to get pictures with the players and autographs on their special "Keep Pounding Day" t-shirts. They did not go away empty-handed though as they were allowed to take a special Panther gift bag and fill it with various items such as soap, razors, and toothpaste, all in an effort to remind the kids of the importance of good hygiene.
