Columbia, SC (WLTX) Twenty-two men have been arrested as part of a prostitution sting.
According to Jennifer Timmons with the Columbia Police Department, the investigation was conducted on May 3-4 all across the Midlands involving an on-line advertising website called "Back Pages."
The two-day investigation arrested 22 subjects ranging from cooks, construction workers, custodians, truck drivers, a carpenter, cafe manager and internet technician. A few, police noted, were unemployed.
All the suspects were taken to jail.
The police department said that they will continue to investigate persons who use social media as a tool to engage in illegal acts.
