3 arrested in connection to Nov. 2 evening shooting on Bluff Road

Richland County Sheriff's Department seize guns and drugs after search of suspect's residence

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland County Sheriff's Department (RCSD) announced deputies have arrested three suspects in connection to a shooting that occurred November 2 on Bluff Road.

Wendell Snow, 39; Terrell Singletary, 20; and Dominque Rivers (19) were arrested Thursday, November 14, after an early morning warrant was served. Snow is charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Simple Possession Marijuana; Singletary is charged with Possession of a Stolen Pistol; and Rivers is charged with Possession of a Schedule V Drug.

According to RCSD, on November 2, deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the 1400 block of Bluff Road around 11 p.m. That location is about a half-mile from Williams-Brice Stadium in Richland County.

Arriving at the scene, deputies located a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The investigation revealed that two other persons also sustained gunshot wounds, one being a juvenile. All three were shot after a fight between two groups escalated to where one suspect pulled out a gun and began shooting.

Only one of the three shooting victims was involved in the fight, the other two were passersby walking home following the USC-Texas A&M homecoming football game at Williams-Brice.

“There is nothing more selfish than to put other people’s lives at risk to make yourself look tough,” said Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, “here, we have an individual who chose to use a gun to solve his problems in the middle of a large crowd of innocent people just trying to get home from a football game.”

Snow was identified as the shooter and RCSD's Fugitive Task Force and Special Response Team served arrest warrants at Snow's home address, where Singletary and Rivers were also present. An additional search warrant for Snow's residence by RCSD turned up multiple firearms, one of which is stolen out of Florence, and multiple narcotics. The stolen gun and narcotics lead to the arrests of Singletary and Rivers.

All three suspects will be booked into Alvin S Glenn Detention Center.
