West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - One person is dead and two people have been wounded after a shooting at an apartment complex in West Columbia Thursday afternoon.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim as 26-year-old Samir Bernard Atkins. He was hit by gunfire in the upper body, she says.
The incident happened at a set of units located at 925 Glenn Street. Police say the shooting took place inside one of units.
The other two victims were taken to the hospital. Fisher says one of them is in critical condition, while the other received non life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have also not said if any suspects are in custody or wanted.
