5 adults displaced after north Columbia house fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A late night house fire in north Columbia has displaced five adults before the Christmas weekend.

Columbia Richland Fire Department personnel were called to the scene at Club Road around 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21. That road is just off Monticello Road in north Columbia. 

First shift crews from Engine 13 arriving at the scene found smoke and heavy fire coming from the home. More firemen from Engines 1, 6, 12, and 18, 7 Truck, Rescue 1, Battalions 1, 2, and 5, and Rehab 1 also were called to the scene.

No injuries were reported, but five adults were left displaced.

The Richland County Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
