SUMTER, S.C. — Sumter Police is asking the public for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the killing of a 20-year-old man on Wednesday, April 10, at a convenience store off Boulevard Road in Sumter.
Officers are trying to locate the driver of a grey Dodge Charger that was seen on surveillance video at the Red Bay Store near the intersection of E Red Bay and Boulevard roads on the evening of Wednesday, April 10, around the time of the shooting.
The victim, Ray'Quan Dontrell Lamont Durant, pf Mooneyham Road in Sumter, was shot outside of the store around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Durant was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey where he later succumbed to his injuries.
