West Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The West Columbia Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the murder of Susan Wilkes.
Wilkes was reported missing in June of this year by her husband, who was later charged with her murder, in addition to his son.
The new arrest and charge of Misprision of a Felony involve Eric Bassett, who lived in the home where Susan Wilkes body was found. Officers state that Bassett had information that would have assisted law enforcement in their search for Wilkes, and allege that Bassett knew her body was located in the back yard of his residence in Little Mountain.
Bassett is currently being held in the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
