Burglary, stalking suspect sought in Sumter County

SUMTER, S.C. — Sumter County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) is asking the public for assistance in locating a suspect who allegedly burglarized a home in Dalzell on May 17, 2024.

SCSO issued a warrant for 42-year-old John Latroy Robinson for alleged burglary, stalking and violation of a permanent restraining order.

Allegedly, Robinson was seen committing the burglary and theft of two French bulldogs from a Dalzell home. He had previously been placed on house arrest and ordered to wear an ankle monitor, which he failed to charge, and has a history of harassment and threatening to cause bodily harm.

Robinson is described as having brown eyes and black hair, stands 6'1" and weighs around 150 pounds.
