Columbia Police are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting on Stoneridge Drive.
A spokesperson for the police department said officers were called to the 150 block of Stoneridge Drive around 6 p.m., where they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Details about the shooting are limited, but police said crime scene investigators are processing the scene, and officers are canvassing the area for video and witnesses. At this time, police do not believe there is a threat to the general public.
According to police the victim is refusing to cooperate with detectives in the investigation.
