COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities say one person is recovering after a Friday afternoon shooting in Columbia.
Columbia Police said the shooting happened in the parking lot of a business at 100 Newland Road, which maps and photos from the scene confirm is a Wendy's restaurant. Police didn't provide details regarding a possible motive for the shooting but said the male victim was shot in the leg, and his injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
Investigators spoke with witnesses at the scene and urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
