Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Coroner has identified the individual that was fatally wounded Sunday morning on Cody Street.
Coroner Gary Watts says he's Marcus A. Kennedy, age 24, of Columbia.
Investigators say the incident occurred Sunday shortly before 1AM at the 1500 block of Cody Street.
Officials say Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The autopsy reveals that he died from complications of a gun shot wound to the upper body.
The female victim was transported to a local hospital with what hospital staff believes to be non life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told authorities that both victims were inside at the time of the shooting and neither one of the victims lived at that particular residence.
The incident remains under investigation by the Columbia Police Department.
