Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have arrested the suspect in a shooting from earlier this month in Columbia's Vista hospitality district.
Nicholas Maurice Dickerson, 24, was arrested early Wednesday morning at an apartment in West Columbia. He's charged with breach of peace high and aggravated nature, unlawful carrying of a pistol, and discharging a firearm in the city limits.
Back on June 1st, officers say he fired a gun into a crowd of people at 1231 Lincoln Street. No one was hit by the gunfire, but the bullets did cause property damage.
Officers had earlier released surveillance video which appeared to show Dickerson running from the scene.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident that stemmed from an altercation at a local business earlier in the day.
