Santee, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies have arrested a man who they say broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman.
Damien Dewan Oliver, 33, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
According to a warrant, around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Oliver broke into a home where a woman and her teenage daughter lived. The daughter reported waking up to hear Oliver screaming about money.
The daughter said her mother ran into her room, but Oliver grabbed her by the neck and dragged her back outside. The man left however, when he found out that deputies had been called.
A short time later, though, officers say he came back, and started screaming "where the money at." Deputies say he then sexually assaulted the mother while threatening her with a screwdriver.
After getting about $200 from the victim, the report says he left the home.
