Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies have arrested a man who they say sexually assaulted multiple girls.
Preston Dowie Martin, 76, is currently being held without bond at the Lexington County Detention Center. He's charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child who was under the age of 11, three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16, and one count of performing a lewd act on a child who was under the age of 16.
Detectives say the first incidents happened back in 2000, when they say Martin performed sex acts on a young girl from January until August of that year.
The most recent claims come from the end of last year. Investigators say on December 21st, Martin inappropriately touched one young girl, and performed sexual acts on two other young female victims.
Deputies say one of the victims told her mother about the incidents, who in turn contacted law enforcement.
Investigators are looking to see if there are other incidents involving Martin.
