Sometime in the early morning hours,Richland County Senior Investigator Brian Godfrey says the woman was killedalong thepath near the Colony and then moved closer to the tracks.Investigators say Canzater walked the pathconstantly to get from her home in the Jaggers Terrace apartments to her daughter's home in the Colony. Two teenagers found Regina's body in the early afternoon on September 27. One was never identified andinvestigators say the other was a 16-year-old named Willis Hayward Kinard. He's a man Godfrey would like to talk to solely as a witness."They (the neighbors)are familiar with this gentleman, Mr. Kinard.I think it was a foster situation, so maybe that's why we've had so much trouble tracking him down," said Godfrey./FONT>FONT size=2>But even with the setbacks, Godfrey says they're closer to closing this cold case, thanks to newDNA testing."We did develop physical evidence but we need the public's help in identifying people who may have lived in the area that could have committed this crime," said Godfrey.Godfrey says they are entertaining suspects at this point but need a name to pinpoint one."We've had calls from people who say, 'hey this guy said this.'It may or may not be connectedbut they give us the names," said Godfrey."We're looking for more of that."FONT size=2>
