Winnsboro, SC (WLTX) -- A Fairfield County Detention Center corrections officer has been arrested and charged with soliciting a prostitute.
Joe Wayne Gladney, 52, was arrested on November 11 in the parking lot of a CVS store on West Moultrie Street in Winnsboro.
Fairfield deputies say they received complaints from several women who say Gladney solicited them. According to an incident report, the women told deputies they knew Gladney from the Fairfield County Detention Center.
According to the report, a source was electronically monitored talking to Gladney about a sexual favor in exchange for money.
Jail officials tell News19 that Gladney has been placed on leave without pay pending further investigation into the incident.
