FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — A Fairfield County man faces a charge of attempted murder following a fight that led to a stabbing on Wednesday.
According to a statement from the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to Turkey Creek Road in the Blackstock area around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, where the incident occurred. Investigators quickly developed 20-year-old Tyrone D. Foster of the Blackstock area as a suspect in the stabbing.
Investigators said Foster left the scene, but deputies identified his vehicle and arrested him during a traffic stop. Foster faces a charge of attempted murder for the incident. He's being held at the Fairfield County Detention Center and awaiting bond.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of what deputies didn't believe were life-threatening injuries. Authorities haven't said what led to the fight and stabbing.
