SUMTER, S.C. — A woman is dead after a shooting in Sumter Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Sumter Police Department, officers were called to a shooting around 4:30pm on Mimosa Road in Sumter. When officers arrived to the scene and found a woman dead.
Officers are working to determine what happened.
No word yet on the identity of the woman.
