ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday evening at the SC Motorplex on Dragstrip Road in Orangeburg County, where a 40-year-old man lost his life.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell is calling on the public to assist in solving the case by sharing any photos, videos, or information related to the incident.
“We’re asking for something different this time,” Sheriff Ravenell said. “If you took any pictures, videos, selfies at the dragstrip on Saturday, we’d like to take a look at it.”
The shooting, which took place just before 6 p.m., reportedly began with an altercation between the victim and an unknown individual who opened fire. During the incident, three others were also struck by gunfire.
