FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities are investigating after a person arrived at a Fairfield County hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand on Saturday.
According to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened late Saturday afternoon, but authorities said the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.
However, the victim arrived for treatment at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Health - Fairfield County. The sheriff's office said the victim's wound is not considered life-threatening.
No additional information about the nature of the wound or the circumstances of the shooting was available at the time. The sheriff's office said it is still investigating.
