YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A Charlotte man is accused of stealing more than $8,000 worth of perfume from a store in South Carolina, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

25-year-old Jeffrey Barrett, Jr. allegedly stole perfume and cologne valued at nearly $8,400 from an Ulta Beauty Store located on John Ross Parkway in Rock Hill, according to agents.

Agents say Barrett and a co-conspirator passed all points of sale without rendering payment for the merchandise, which totaled $8,399, back on April 29, 2024 at the York County location.

Barrett was charged with shoplifting, value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000, on Thursday, June 20, 2024 based on video surveillance, a citizen tip, search warrant execution and social media information, according to agents.
