COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Richland County Coroner's Office, on Thursday, released the name of a man who investigators say was killed by his brother on Easter day.
According to the Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford, 40-year-old Antoine Dantzler was the victim of a homicide that took place in the 200 block of Shoreditch Drive.
According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department in their previous statement, the man's killer is believed to be his brother, 41-year-old Samuel Dantzler. The department said that the older brother is believed to have beaten his sibling with a baseball bat - an attack that led to his death.
Investigators, at the time, didn't release additional details about the attack or what led up to it. The alleged attacker has been charged with murder and was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Coroner Rutherford said in Thursday's announcement that her office would continue working with the sheriff's department as both of their investigations continue.
