Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A 27-year-old Columbia man is facing multiple charges in connection with a child pornography case.
Michael Scott Simmons was booked on six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor second degree.
State Attorney General Alan Wilson says Berkeley County deputies developed information that images of children engaged in sexual activity had been disseminated from an account traced to Simmons's home. Columbia police executed a search warrant on his home on July 14th, and took him into custody afterward.
Bond for Simmons was set at $10,000. He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
