Man dead after late-night shooting in St. Andrews community

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to a shooting that left one man dead on Monday night.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the 300 block of Creek Drive around 11 p.m. - an address located in the St. Andrews community not far from Broad River Road.

Deputies found a 27-year-old man upon arrival who had multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Tuesday morning, investigators continue working to determine what preceded the shooting. No details on a suspect have been provided but the sheriff's department said more information would be provided when it becomes available.
