Stabbing at Columbia truck stop leaves man hospitalized—police seek leads on attacker

A stabbing outside a Columbia truck stop has left police searching for clues and a man hospitalized—here's what we know so far.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — One person is in the hospital after a stabbing outside a truck stop and travel center in Columbia.

Police said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Petro Gas Shopping Center in the 2100 block of Bluff Road just off I-77. Authorities said the victim, a man, was taken to the hospital but didn't say how severely he was injured.

Police urge anyone with information about the stabbing or the person responsible to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
