Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a man who they say is wanted for murder in Mexico.
Juan Pablo Guzman-Juarez, 24, was taken into custody on May 27.
Narcotics officers were investigating reports of illegal drug activity on Sparkleberry Lane when they saw Guzman-Juarez drive up and meet with an unidentified person in another vehicle. Officers say when they approached the car, the unknown suspect drove away, but they were able to catch Guzman-Juarez.
Deputies say Guzman-Juarez had a half-pound of marijuana and a bag containing a small amount of cocaine in his car. When they checked his records, they found out that he was a deported felon wanted on murder and drug charges in Mexico, and had also been deported on two previous occasions.
