JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One of the victims from a double homicide in the Northwest of Jacksonville has been identified.
Demetrius Robinson, 31, was pronounced dead on scene in what turned out to be a double homicide in the 8000 block of Dekle Ave. in Jacksonville at around 7:45 a.m. on Friday. Deputies say he was from the 5500 block of Middleton Street in Columbia, SC.
A woman was found injured and was taken to UF Health where she later died of her injuries. Her identification has not yet been released but authorities say she was in her 30s.
Witnesses say they saw a white pickup truck flee the scene, but it is unclear whether or not the vehicle or the driver was involved in the shooting.
Authorities l says they do not believe the victims have gang or drug ties.
