Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Sumter County Deputies have arrested a man who they say broke into a home and sexually assaulted someone.
Joe Albert Hilton Jr., 51, is charged with criminal sexual conduct first degree and burglary first degree.
According to deputies, on Saturday the man entered the victim's home with the intent of committing a sexual assault. Officers say the victim woke up during the crime.
The man they ran away from the home. Warrants state that Witnesses saw him leaving the home and were able to identify the suspect.
Hilton is being held at the Sumter County jail where he's been denied bond.
