LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — A Swansea man is accused of shooting two men, one of whom died, Tuesday morning after a fight with one of them days earlier.
Joey Len Inabinet Jr., 29, is charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, according to arrest warrants.
“A deputy responded to a call about a shooting at a home on Calvary Church Road before daybreak Tuesday morning,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “He found a man who had been shot but was conscious and breathing, then a witness told him someone else was shot down the road. The deputy performed CPR on the second shooting victim until EMS arrived. A second victim, who was also shot, was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Robert Todd Bailey, 60, of Swansea was pronounced dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.
“We found shell casings at the scene consistent with a gun we know has been in Inabinet’s possession,” Koon said. “Our investigation into this case is ongoing; however, we are very glad to have Inabinet in custody.”
Koon said Inabinet was arrested late Tuesday morning.
