GADSDEN, S.C. — A Sunday evening fire has claimed the life of one individual in Lower Richland County.
Crews from Columbia Richland Fire Department were called to the scene at a house on Good win Way in Gadsden around 8:40 p.m. March 17, 2024. Arriving at the scene, firefighters found the home completely engulfed.
Firefighters were eventually able to gain entry to the home, where they found one person in the structure. The Richland County Coroner was called to the scene and continues an investigation, along with the Richland County Fire Marshal's Office.
The identity of the person who died in the fire has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
