COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities say one person is recovering after an apparent shooting at an apartment complex off Broad River Road on Saturday.

According to the Columbia Police Department, officers were called to the 4500 block of Bentley Drive around 2:45 a.m. to a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found what appeared to be a crime scene but no victim. Police said the victim in the shooting, a man, showed up at the hospital later with injuries police believe were not life-threatening.

At this point, they no longer know for sure if the shooting happened at the apartment complex where the initial call came in, but they believe this was an isolated incident.

Police don't yet have any suspect information and haven't said what possibly led up to the shooting. Columbia Police urge anyone with information about the shooting or suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or visit CrimeSC.com.
