ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — An Orangeburg man has been charged in connection with a homicide that occurred over the weekend.
“My investigators worked on this case from the first moment on through the weekend,” Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell the sheriff said. “This is the result of their hard work and just simple relentlessness.”
37-year-old Brad Lowry has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon or ammunition by a person convicted of a felony.
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators were called out around 1:30 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a shooting.
Investigators confirmed a 45-year-old Neeses man was deceased after locating him lying near the roadway on the 1800 block of McMichael Street.
Lowry was taken into custody early Wednesday after OCSO investigators located him at a Corona Apartments residence in Orangeburg.
