MANNING, S.C. — Four adults have been charged following a fight in a Clarendon County high school lobby that also involved students.
According to a statement from the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, the fight happened on Tuesday in the lobby of Manning High School's front office after another involving two juveniles.
Investigators said that, before the school resource officers and school administrators could address that incident, parents became involved in the fight as well.
The sheriff's office said that students and parents had to be separated, detained, and removed from the school
Four adults, 30-year-old Ashley Keyahana Brock, 37-year-old Santana Danielle Butler, 39-year-old Ebony Sharice-Butler Hilton, and 35-year-old Andrea Neikay Walters were all charged with public disorderly conduct and taken to the Clarendon County Detention Center.
All of these adults were released on bond, the sheriff said.
Five juveniles were also petitioned to family court through the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice for third-degree assault.
The sheriff's office said there were also two other fights at the school involving juveniles who were separated and taken to the sheriff's office where petitions to family court were also filed. They were then released to their parents.
