Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A Columbia woman is facing arson charges after police say she set her own car on fire in the parking lot of Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.
Krystal Elizabeth Lorick, 30, is charged with third-degree arson.
According to the incident report, a witness saw Lorick put pine straw under the wheel of her van, light the straw on fire, and then walked away.
The car began smoking and caught fire and damaged two other vehicles parked next to hers. Police say Lorick told investigators that she set fire to the air freshener inside her car near the air vents.
