RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Two men are in the hospital after shooting at each other following an argument that turned into a fight, Richland County investigators say.
The shooting happened on Wednesday around 7 p.m. at 508 Longtown Road, which maps show is Killian Terrace Apartments. Richland County Sheriff's Department deputies said they arrived to find two men lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived and took both men to the hospital.
The sheriff's department said further investigation uncovered that the two men, who know each other, got into an argument that turned physical. At that point, one man retrieved a gun and opened fire on the other. Investigators said the second man then got a gun and returned fire. Both were wounded in the gunfire.
The incident is still under investigation and authorities said charges are expected.
