RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities confirm a fight in a Richland County grocery store parking lot ended in gunfire on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, preliminary details suggest a fight between two parties began in the parking lot of the Kroger Marketplace located near Farrow, Killian and Clemson roads.
At some point, investigators believe one party to the fight opened fire; however, there haven't been any reported injuries. The department stressed that this was not an "active shooter" situation, describing it as an isolated incident. Authorities said they quickly detained a suspect upon arriving at the scene.
