Shooting investigation underway at Columbia apartment complex off Broad River Road

One person was injured and transported to a local hospital, according to police.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police say they are investigating a shooting at a Columbia apartment complex.

Police say they responded to reports of a shooting around 8 p.m. at the Reserve at River Walk Apartments on Bentley Drive, off of Broad River Road.

A male victim was injured in the lower body and transported to a local hospital, according to police. There was no word on the victim's condition.

Police say they are gathering information at this time.
