RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say one person is dead following a shooting at an event venue in Richland County on Friday night.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called to 9221 Two Notch Road, Suite Sixty, around 11:30 p.m. regarding a shooting. Deputies went to the scene and spoke with security, who said the victim was inside. Deputies found the victim and attempted to save him, but authorities said he died at the scene. The Richland County Coroner's Office arrived at the scene but has not publicly released the victim's name.
Witnesses said the shooting followed a large fight inside the event venue. Authorities said the suspect fired several shots from outside the building and said the victim was hit multiple times.
