SUMTER, S.C. — A woman faces charges after shots were fired at a parked vehicle with two people inside in Sumter on Sunday evening.
Sumter Police say they responded to the Marilyn Avenue area around 7:30 p.m. Sunday following reports of gunfire.
According to one of the victims, they and another person were sitting in a parked car when they saw a vehicle drive by, stop at a nearby intersection, and fire shots in their direction.
No injuries were reported.
Police later identified the shooter as 39-year-old Christina Marie Hodge, and took Hodge into custody at her home.
Hodge is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
