CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — State officials announced on Saturday that all four inmates who escaped a South Carolina jail on Oct. 15 have been apprehended.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) released a statement on Saturday announcing the remaining two escapees from Chesterfield County were found and arrested by Darlington Police on Friday. In a separate statement, the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office said police arrested Deshawn Malik Fox and Kyonne Marquise McLeod on charges of trespassing, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
SLED added that another inmate, Anton Conway Bennett, was caught on Oct. 17 in Halifax County, North Carolina, by the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
The same day, Emanuel Robson Planco was arrested in Richland County after a chase when authorities say he was spotted breaking into vehicles at Greenbrier Apartments in the Dentsville area.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office said its investigation into how the inmates escaped is still underway.
