WINNSBORO, S.C. — Authorities say at least two people were struck by gunfire on Friday night in a parking lot across from Fairfield Central High School.
The Winnsboro Department of Public Safety said the shooting may have originated from an apartment complex where two groups exchanged gunfire following an ongoing dispute.
However, the people who were hit were in or near the parking lot of a former Walmart along the 321 Bypass. This is across the street from Fairfield Central High School, where the homecoming football game had previously ended.
Winnsboro Department of Public Safety investigators urge anyone with information about the shooting to call 803-635-2222.
