COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police have arrested a 13-year-old girl who they say stabbed to death her 18-year-old brother.
According to police, the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on Willow Street. Officers said they were called to the scene after a report of an assault, and when they got there, they say the found the victim with a life-threatening injury to his upper body.
Police said they attempted to give the victim medical aid until EMS arrived. The victim was later declared dead.
The girl was arrested at the scene and taken to headquarters for questioning. Investigators believe the victim and suspect had been arguing moments before the stabbing.
The girl was then taken into custody and charged with murder.
