CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. — Late-night vigilance by deputies in Calhoun County resulted in a major narcotics bust on November 24th.
Calhoun County Sheriff Summers announced the arrest of Erion Derrell Harris, 33, who now faces multiple drug trafficking charges.
Harris was stopped near midnight at the intersection of Caw Caw Highway and Stabler Farm Road for defective vehicle equipment. During the stop, deputies deployed K9 Ace, whose alert led to the discovery of 10 grams of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of heroin, and 3.4 grams of cocaine.
Harris has been charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession With Intent to Distribute Heroin, and Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine.
At a bond hearing , a $450,000 cash surety bond was set for his release.
Sheriff Summers commended his team’s efforts, saying, “Our deputies are going to continue to aggressively patrol our county for criminals like this in efforts to keep our citizens safe.”
The arrest underscores the sheriff’s office’s commitment to combating illegal drug activity and ensuring the safety of local communities.
