RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — A woman has been arrested in Georgia for the shooting death of a woman at a Columbia hotel, according to Richland County deputies.
Deputies on Wednesday announced the arrest of 23-year-old Chelsea Lee Miller, who they say is responsible for a shooting death at a hotel back in October.
On October 18, 2023, deputies responded to a hotel in the 7000 block of Nates Road after reports of an unresponsive woman. Upon their arrival, deputies said they found an adult woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body.
Deputies say Miller arrested with the assistance of of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department in Georgia.
Miller, who is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, is currently housed at the Richmond County Jail in Augusta, Georgia, where she is awaiting extradition back to South Carolina.
