RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The Richland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a woman's shooting as she walked to her car early Sunday morning.
According to preliminary information from the department, the woman was hit in the lower body around 12:30 a.m. as she walked to her vehicle outside of a bar and restaurant in the Dentsville area of Two Notch Road.
Authorities said she didn't realize she had been hurt until she had arrived home. She was then taken to an area hospital for treatment, a sheriff's department statement said.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting and who might have been responsible are still under investigation.
