Some events that can help with back-to-school

Looking for a little help with back to school supplies? Here are some events that will help you fill up your students backpack.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Looking for a little help with back to school supplies? Want to get your students psyched for the new school year?  These events could be just the ticket. 

South Carolina Annual Tax Free weekend is scheduled for August 2-4.  For 72 hours, eligible times for back to school like computes, clothing and accessories, shoes, etc can be found tax free. 

AUGUST 3: Back-2-School Bash-3007 Broad River Road Suite E, Columbia. 3pm-7pm.  Free haircuts, school supplies, backpacks and food. 

AUGUST 3: City of Columbia and United Set are offering the community school supplies and book bags, along with entertainment and food at the event. 11 am - 2 pm, KMB Booker Washington Heights Cultural Arts Center, 2611 Grant St, Columbia, SC 29203.

AUGUST 3: Back-to-School Bash-Meadowlake Park-600 Beckman Road, Columbia. 6-8 p.m.

AUGUST 6: Project Backpack SC giveaway, Forest Heights Elementary School, 2500 Blue Ridge Terrace, Columbia, 5 p.m.

AUGUST 6: National Night Out & Back-to-School Bash – Gadsden Park Community Center - 1668 South Goodwin Circle, Gadsden, SC 29052 – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

AUGUST 6: National Night Out & Back-To-School Bash – Pine Grove Community Center - 937 Piney Woods Road, Columbia, SC 29210 – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
