Batesburg-Leesville, SC (WLTX) - Lexington School District Three has a new superintendent.
The Board of Trustees voted unanimously Thursday to hire Dr. Randall Gary to lead the district. Since July 2013, he's been serving with District Three as the assistant superintendent of personnel and administration.

"His heart and passion for children, teachers and other staff members will provide wonderful opportunities for all."
Before coming to District Three, Dent had been the principal of Dent Middle School for 12 years. He's also been an assistant principal, deal of students, and a classroom teacher.
"Since joining the district, I have been amazed at the commitment and dedication of the faculty, staff, and students, and I am excited about the opportunity to work with such an esteemed group of professionals," Gary said in a statement.
Gary will begin his tenure as superintendent on July 1st.
