BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, S.C. — Lexington County School District Three will be looking for a new superintendent for the next school year.

Dr. Randall Gary has worked in the district since 2013.  He begins his role as the new Superintendent of Spartanburg District Five on July 1, 2019.

“Without a doubt, Lexington Three’s students, staff, and schools have benefited the last six years as a direct result of Dr. Gary’s extraordinary leadership. His love for all students and passion for public education have been the evident and guiding force behind every decision he has made. He most certainly has left a permanent impression upon the entire Batesburg-Leesville community and while we will surely miss him and his family, we wish him nothing but happiness and success in all of his future endeavors,” said Stacey Derrick, Chair of the Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees is planning how to proceed to fill Dr. Gary's position.  The district said no plans have been made, and all options are being considered.
