COLUMBIA (AP) - South Carolina schools are rolling out the red carpet for students displaced by Hurricane Katrina.State Education Superindent Inez Tenenbaum says there is no way to tell how many students will come to the state. But she says the agency is doing all it can to make their transition as simple as possible.Under federal law, students displaced in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina are "homeless" and do not need to provide proof of residentcy to enroll in public schools.Several counties across the state have already enrolled students affected by the storm.
